Picturesque Offaly is not nearly as well known as it should be. Tullamore is a heritage town with a choice of accommodation, restaurants and visitor entertainment. Cruising, equestrian activity, golf, angling and walking enthusiasts are all well catered for. Visit some of the last remaining tracts of peatland in Europe at Clara Bog or Mongans Bog, or visit the ancient monastic site of Clonmacnois and the Slieve Bloom mountains.
